Early Childhood Careers

Preschool teachers help shape our nation’s future by educating our youngest students. ECC students work in established local preschool classrooms to help them gain the knowledge and skills necessary to be successful in their chosen field.This program provides students with the coursework and preschool lab hours to earn a Child Development Associate (CDA) Certificate to teach preschool classes.

To complete all the required skills, high school students attend three hours per day for two school years. Adults may complete in one year by attending six hours per day.
