Practical Nursing

 Graduates of the Practical Nursing program are prepared at the beginning level to be competent, caring members of the health care team.  They are capable of functioning effectively in the roles of caregiver, advocate, educator and health care team members.  The 11-month program begins in August with graduation the following July.  Classes meet Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. in Northland Career Center classrooms.  Times may vary when assigned to clinical areas.  Graduates of this program are eligible to apply to the Missouri State Board of Nursing for permission to take the licensing examination.
