How To Apply For Financial Aid

To apply for federal student aid, you must complete and submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) each year that you attend. The quickest way to apply is online using FAFSA on the Web beginning January 1 of each year. There is NO cost to complete this application. If you are at a site that requires a form of payment, you are not at the correct site.

In August of 2008 former President Bush signed into law the new Higher Education Opportunity Act (HEOA) which included new consumer requirements for transparency in college tuition and other institutional information for all schools that participate in federal Title IV financial aid programs.

If you wish to share your financial or academic information with any person, you must fill out a consent to release information which can be obtained in the Financial Aid Office at Northland Career Center.  This form must be filled out and signed in the office at the time of your request.
